Vishag Badrinarayanan (Ph.D., Texas Tech University) is a Professor of Marketing at the McCoy College of Business Administration at Texas State University. He has taught at Texas State since 2005 and currently teaches Marketing Management at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
His research focuses on marketing strategy-related topics at the intersection of sales management, branding, and technology domains. His research has appeared in leading journals such as Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Personal Selling & Sales Management, Journal of Advertising, Psychology & Marketing, Journal of Business Research, European Journal of Marketing, and Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing, among others.
He has also presented numerous papers at national and international conferences hosted by the American Marketing Association, Academy of Marketing Science, and Academy of International Business, among others. For his past and ongoing research projects, he has collaborated with leading organizations including those on the Fortune 100 list. His current research projects investigate exciting research questions that are relevant to contemporary marketing theory and practice.
At Texas State, he has received the Advisory Board Teaching Excellence Award (2009-2010) and the Gary V. Woods Research Award (2013-2014) and was the Runner-Up for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching (2011) and the Presidential Award for Excellence in Scholarly Activities (2013). In addition, he has received college recognition awards for teaching and research.
